Set up Outbound Message #inSalesforce

This uses the notifications() call to send SOAP messages over HTTP(S) to a designated endpoint when triggered by a workflow rule.

These are SOAP transactions that Salesforce automatically sends to external systems when triggered.

Steps:

Setup | select Outbound Messages | Click New Outbound Message | Choose the object that has the information you want to be included in the outbound message | click Next | Configure the outbound message as per need | Save

Note: Before using the URL in the endpoint of the outbound message make that URL is trustable by adding that URL In Remote Site Settings.
