Opportunity Stage provides information about the phases within your sales process.
Steps to add new, edit or replace stage field values - (StageName standard field of Opportunity)
Setup | Object Manager | Opportunity | Fields & Relationships | 'Stage' | 'New' to add a new stage under Opportunity Stage Picklist Values.
To Edit - 'Edit' next to the stage to change the probability or type of forecast category
If its new Stage value - After clicking new and adding the value, select the Sales Process to be associated
Click 'Save'
To Replace (update) - To replace an existing Opportunity Stage value with the new one you have created, click the 'Replace' button.
Enter the existing Stage name in the 'Exact Value Changing From' field and then choose the new value created in the 'Select Value Changing To' picklist.
This will replace all existing values on your Opportunity records with the new picklist value.
Example: Suppose we want to add a new stage value 'On Hold'.
